It was in 1972 that my father discovered the Lalheue medieval watermill. He immediately succumbed to its charm, and its magnificent natural, authentic environment.
Almost immediately, he pictured himself living there with my mother. Having fallen for the place, he also convinced my grandmother of this noble project. Thus it was that my brother, my sister and I came to live there for a few years.
My father has always remained very attached to the mill. Subsequently, my mother-in-law has also joined our family history by loving it and adding to its value. I spent my holidays with them in this timeless place, intimidated by my perception of its longevity and soul. When there, I felt both weak and strong.
Since the birth of my two children, I have been going there regularly to share with them the serenity and beauty of the place. I like to imagine that, in their turn, they will take their children and grandchildren…
